How It Got Started

Now, I know what you are thinking, but it seemed like a good idea. Spending the summer with Dylan, 8, Ethan, 6, and Noah, almost 4, will be blissful, right?  I once commanded a ship with over 300 people...how hard could it be to keep three boys busy for a couple of months? I envisioned myself rocking gently in a hammock while they play quietly nearby, eager to bring me a magazine or refill my lemonade when needed.

My wife, Grace, had a different vision: theme weeks, skill building, math enrichment, music lessons, and learning to swim. And in between, I would finally complete all of the projects on my "honey do" list.

The boys, as it turned out had a third vision....something more akin to Neverland's Lost Boys, but with screen time and lightsabers.
